This lower section of this corkscrew canyon requires a bit more effort but the reward is fewer visitors and a more intimate experience. The crown of the day is a visit to Lower Antelope Canyon with a 1 mile hike with a Native American guide. With over 1,200 miles of shoreline, the lake is a spectacular site. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch and a view of the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. The day continues with a 1.3 mile round trip hike to Horseshoe Bend where you can view a unique meander of the Colorado River far below. Your guide will share information about the surrounding scenery, the Navajo people and their culture as you travel. Along the way, you’ll have views of the colorful Painted Desert cliffs in the distance as well as the Little Colorado River. Next, we leave tall pine forests and travel onto the Navajo Nation for a stop at historic Cameron Trading Post with its impressive collection of souvenirs and Native American arts and crafts.
